Military inspired fashion makes its way back again this season. I confess that I have never been a huge fan of this trend, because in the past the key elements were cargo pants and camouflage prints. I always feared that I would look like a big game hunter.
This time around it’s all about olive green and khaki hues, gold buttons and high collars, making the challenge of incorporating the military trend a thing of the past. I consider it a more stylish and polished approach to rocking the trend. If you plan to update your Fall wardrobe with some military inspired pieces, use discretion so you won’t go overboard with your look.
My first addition is this pair of olive green pants; it’s a great alternative to black and complements a variety of skin tones. I paired it with a mustard jeweled collar blouse. This adds a feminine touch to an unexpected mix. Another piece you can add to your wardrobe, is a structured jacket that has two rows of brass buttons or military inspired combat boots. Try thrifting at your local thrift stores. It is a great way to score one of these on a budget.
