My Cleansing Experience:
I suppose I am one of the few who simply MUST shampoo weekly. I’ve tried several co-washing methods, but my scalp always seemed to be itchy afterwards. Since I use a sulfate shampoo monthly to clarify, I was eager to try the cleanser. The 8 oz bottle contained a thick consistency shampoo. The smell was lovely: light, airy, and avocado-like, but not over-bearing. I followed the directions exactly as the bottle stated. I applied a quarter-sized amount (enough to cover my dense hair) to my dampened hair and rinsed. I repeated once more.
My Conditioning Experience:
The conditioner smelled similar to the cleanser, except for a more potent coconut scent. The consistency was VERY thick (which I lovedJ). I again followed the directions on the bottle. I applied a large handful to my hair, worked the product in with my fingers, covered with a shower cap, and let the product sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I rinsed the product, and continued with my regular weekly regiment, which consists of deep conditioning and styling. I decided to twist my hair later.

My Cleanser Results:
I fell deeply, madly, and unequivocally in love with the Cleanser! This product will definitely be included in my hair product rotation. As I placed the cleanser in my hair, the shampoo began to lather, and to my surprise, my curls immediately started to clump! At no time during shampooing and after did my hair feel striped. This product did exactly as described. It cleansed & rehydrated my hair at the same time- Definitely a keeper!

My Conditioner Results:
This conditioner provided a lot of slip and I easily detangled my hair after processing with a shower cap. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that my curls did not easily clump & become defined as I’ve noted with other conditioners, but the product definitely added moisture and slippage to my hair.
Price:
Simply give up 3 bottles of water or soda, and you can afford this product! I LOVE the price. $6 can easily fit into anyone’s budget. I also love that this line of products is available at stores on the ground, such as Wal-Mart and Walgreens.
Final Thoughts:
I like that both of these products are affordable, and each bottle contains an ample amount of product. The Cleanser will remain on my shelf and will be used as part of my clarifying regiment. Although I liked the Conditioner, I often use my conditioners to help clump/define my curls & style my hair, so I wished there was more “curl clumping power” in this conditioner. I feel that it would be better suited for those that co-wash because of its ability to provide moisture. I would also recommend both products for transitioners, as both products hydrate the hair.
