On my initial attempt of using this product I didn’t use this product as it instructs on the packaging, and thus I was not impressed at all. I did not notice any difference in my hair. However, I could not blame the product from the lackluster results since I did not use as directed. So I decided to be fair and follow the instructions implicitly.
The directions on the packaging stated: After shampooing with Motions Naturally You Moisturizing Cleanser apply ample amount of masque to hair. Saturate from root to end. For maximum conditioning benefits cover hair with a plastic cap get under a warm dryer for 5 to 10 minutes. Gently rinse hair with warm water, thoroughly removing treatment from the hair.
1. After shampooing with the Motions Moisturizing Cleanser I saturated my hair with the translucent creamy masque to my hair.
2. Then I sat under a warm dryer for 10 minutes
3. After 10 minutes I rinsed it out of my hair, and……..

The masque did as it claimed: “Intensely rehydrates and detangles your hair leaving it feeling soft and vibrantly healthy.”
My hair was soft to the touch and detangled. Literally I could run my fingers through my hair without much resistance. Normally when I’m done shampooing/co-washing I have to section my hair, slather my hair with a leave in conditioner to detangle. The fact that most of detangling was done was absolutely a time-saver.
The fragrance is very subtle, and not overpowering. I’m not able to pinpoint the exact smell, but to me it has very clean, and crisp smell.
For moisture the masque did as it claimed. After rinsing it out I immediately noticed the moisture and my hair remained moisturized during styling. Normally when styling my hair there are sections that dry out so fast. I noticed that after this treatment that those areas remained hydrated, and didn’t require additional moisture.

For the cost and the amount of product that you get I think this is a good value because it does as promised, and it doesn’t hurt your pocketbook.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the product and the results.
However , I prefer deep treatments that don’t require dryer time, since most of my washing is done in the shower. The label and packaging focus on being infused with shea butter, coconut and avocado oils even though those ingredients are listed far down in the ingredients list (e.g 17, 18, 19)
