Product Review: Jane Carter Solution Scalp Nourishing Serum

By Naturally Glam — September 23, 2012

Product Name: Jane Carter Solution Scalp Nourishing Serum
Price: $14
Size: 1 oz

Product Description:
Scalp Nourishing Serum is the perfect maintenance 9 for anyone plagued by dry scalp. We recommend that it be used as a “leave-in” scalp nourisher. With the natural hybrid safflower base, you need only a small amount, applied sparingly, to see great results. Ylang ylang and cedar extract reduces fungus and bacteria while the sunflower oil works to soothe the scalp and restore it back to good health. Scalp Nourishing Serum is 100% natural.

Ingredients:
Pure essential oils of: grapefruit, cedarwood, rosemary, ylang ylang, palmarosa, nettle, vitamins A,D,E in a hybrid safflower base.

My Experience:
I’ve used this product directly onto my scalp after my normal wash routine before styling. I parted my hair, and used the dropper to distribute a small amount of the serum onto my scalp. I then massaged it into my scalp.

Fragrance:
The product has a light herbal scent.

Results:
I found that this product did nourish my scalp. Normally my scalp tends to be dry and itchy, and I haven’t noticed either since applying this scalp serum.

Moisture:
This product really left my scalp feeling moisturized, and I saw no drying on my scalp.

Price:
Because dry scalp is such a major issue for me, if this product continues to give me the results I’ve gotten so far I would repurchase this product. I have tried many other scalp oils, and unfortunately I still continued to have problems. So for me it would be worth the price, though normally I would not pay that much for a product.

Final Thoughts:
This product is definitely one I will continue to use in the future. It has worked wonders so far on my dry and itchy scalp, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Have you tried it? What did you think?

I would love to try this product, but I have horrible eczema patches at the front of my hairline, so I’m a little skeptical.

Great. I wear a weave and will try it. Does it go on oily OR dry.

It does go on oily, but since it is in a dropper you have more control. I hope that helps :o )

This product is a MUST HAVE for those who like to wear braided extensions, weaves, or even locs! Your scalp will be free of all that annoying flakiness and buildup that occurs when you haven’t washed in a while. Lifesaver for me when I get my micro braids in and I don’t feel like washing yet.
