By Ashley G. — September 09, 2012

Product Name: Goin’ Natural Morargan Gold Straight Transition Thermic Blend Solution
Price: $29.99
Size: 4 oz

Product Description:
Goin’ Natural Straight Transition thermic blend solution allows you to transition from relaxer to natural hair without the “BIG CHOP”. Our special aminokeratin blend softens natural new growth to allow excellent straightening with ceramic irons that can last 8 to 12 weeks. Straight Transition Does Not break down thebonds in the hair like relaxers. Therefore your straight hair is temporary and can be easliy restored to its natural teture.

Ingredients:
Deionized water, oxoacetimide carbocystene, oxoacetimideamino acid, glycerin, knojoc manan & polyquaternium 37, aloe extract, garacilaria extract, honey, marigold extract, papaya extract, kiwi extract, sweet almond extract, polysorbate 20, fragrance, imidizolidinyl urea.

My Experience:
I used this product on freshly washed hair [as stated in the directions] and massaged it in. It created somewhat of a shampoo type lather and was very sticky when it dried on my hands. Next, I blow dried my hair and proceeded with flat ironing.

Results:
The product actually did straighten my hair, I remember stating that relaxers didn’t even get it so straight in the past! The ends of my hair did seem like they’d take more passes with the the flat iron and I didn’t want excessive damage, so I left them as is. After using this product my hair was SO DRY and unmanageable.  I didn’t add any of my normal conditioners to my hair for fear that the product wouldn’t work properly. The directions stated to add the brand’s 100% PURE Moroccan Oil after shampooing and blow drying once again, but I didn’t have that. As a result, my hair just felt brittle.

Price:
Normally, I’d think $29.99 for 4oz would be too much, but considering it pumps out in a foam and it doesn’t take much to cover your entire head, you’ll have this bottle for quite a while.

Final Thoughts:
Even though it did straighten my hair out, I’m not sure this product is the best for me. I think it’d be better for transitioners with a small amount of new growth. I will attest that it takes a couple washes for your natural curl pattern to return, so if you’re careful, you could keep your hair straight for 8-12 weeks!

Have you tried it? What do you think?
