My Experience:
After I finished with my normal washing routine and detangling process I parted my hair into several small sections. I then dispensed a little bit less than a quarter sized amount of product into my hand and finger combed the cream as per instructions through each of the very wet sections. The container stated to reduce drying time if not using heat to add water to the Curl Defining Cream. However, since my hair was still almost dripping wet during the application process I omitted adding water.

Fragrance:
When I first smelled the product I was not too fond of it but after using it for several days the smell grew on me. It has light lemon scent. Once you apply it to your hair you can not smell it all.

Results:
The cream provided great hold and left my hair super shiny. However, I still feel that I had the same amount of shrinkage as I do with other products.  Shrinkage is a part of my life now and I’ve learned to love it.

Moisture:
During application and drying my hair was nice and soft. Once dry you can definitely tell that it’s a “holding” cream, my hair was held very well into place without the crunch that I get from a  gel.  What I loved most was my hair was super curly and super shiny. I used the product for 4 days straight and after the second day my hair felt very dry.  To combat some of the dryness I spritz my hair every night and morning with my oil and water mix then applied more of the Curl Define Cream.   For my hair type this product works best when layered versus using it alone because when used alone my hair is very shiny and defined, but it feels dry.

Price:
Although, you get a good amount of product ( and you don’t need to use a generous amount during application) , the price is way to high for me. I usually have a price point of no more than $10.00 per product.

Final Thoughts:
Great holding power, great shine and great softness on the first day. Thereafter moisture was lost. I think that if you have a looser hair texture you may not go through the same drying issues that I did, but this product did not deliver on preventing shrinkage for me.
