My Flat Twist Out Evolution!

I’ve always loved the way my flat twists come out and for that reason I wear them very often.
I was looking at older pictures from the beginning of my journey and I’m very impressed with my hair growth.
The pic on the left was taken on Christmas in 2010.
The pic on the right was taken in November 2011 (8 months pregnant, might I add)When my hair was shorter I had to set my flat twists differently. Now that my hair is longer, setting my flat twists are a bit easier

I love my natural hair and I hope you love yours too!

I have been natural for over 11 years I wore a short boy cut for a couple years, locs for about nine years and now I am growing my hair out and hope to try mutilple hair styles. I have been coloring my hair for the last six years due to it graying. I read a lot of blogs and have not read any blogs that talk about being natural while coloring your hair. There are some natural products that will strip the color and dry your out. I use an organic Vegan hair color however, the styling products don’t work well with black hair. I must add that I workout 5-7 times a week. Any suggestions on how to keep naturally colored hair moisturized would be greatly appreciated.

my hair looks like yours in 9 month pic, however i can’t get my twist out to be defined. I recently start using the curl enhancing smoothie.
also i do the LOC method but i tweek it to LCO
water (leav in condish) by curljunkie
    cream (curl enhance smoothie)
oil (sweet almond oil or castor oil)
Please tell me if that is the right way to use it.

      Hey love,

I would switch it back to LOC. Put your smoothie on last.
