LisaRaye Inspired Makeup

By Jenell — September 06, 2012

By Vee of Pretty Girl Rock

You wouldn’t believe how many times since LisaRaye made her debut in The Player’s Club and since the season of American Idol featuring Jordin Sparks that I’ve heard “Hey, you look like that girl from that movie!” and “You look like the girl from American Idol!”

I assure you it’s been far too many times to count and the frequency has increased by exponential proportion since I’ve been on the good ole internet.  There have been a few other ladies mentioned like Tina Campbell, Erica Campbell and Raven Symone and while I’m not so inclined to agree that I look like any of these beautiful ladies, I figured there must be something that every sees that I don’t.

In honor of my “look alikes”, I thought it’d be fun to do makeup looks inspired by these wonderful women.  LisaRaye and Jordin Sparks run neck and neck being mentioned the most so I’ll be starting and ending the series with makeup looks by these ladies.

First up is LisaRaye McCoy, star of the hit show on VH1, Single Ladies where she plays the role of Keisha.

I spotted this makeup look in the scene where Keisha found out that she was in a bit of trouble with the IRS and FBI. She’d just paid her ex, Sean the lawyer, a visit in his office seeking legal counsel.

What I liked about this look was that it looked natural but with a pop of color and nice contour.   I’m a sucker for that little cut of sculpting just under the cheekbone.
There is also a video for this it’s taking forever to edit but it should be up later this week.  Once it’s posted, I will add it to this post.
