With the fall season here, leggings are definitely a staple piece that every women should have in their closet! They are very versatile because they are easy to dress up and dress down. They are also great for layering on those chilly fall days. And having a few pairs of leggings in your wardrobe can help you save money since they can be worn with a variety of outfits! Who doesn’t like to save money!? I know I do.

When wearing leggings have fun with it! Try patterned or striped leggings for a fun look. Wear monochrome and ponte leggings for a more classic look. For that extra element of edge try paneled, liquid, or leatherette leggings. Also leggings should be worn fitted and not baggy. Stores like Forever 21, GoJane.com, Rainbow, Charlotte Russe, and H&M sell leggings for relatively cheap prices. American Apparel sells leggings too, but they are a little bit pricier.

Let’s not get leggings confused with tights (that is one of my biggest fashion pet-peeves!). Leggings are made of a thicker material and can be worn as pants (per personal choice). Tights on the other hand should not be worn as pants. They are made of a sheer or see-through material and if you do wear them as pants all your goods will be out in the streets!

Here is how iRock leggings! When I’m going for a casual look, I like to be comfortable but stylish at the same time. I opted for a super comfy pair of cotton leggings, my striped tunic, and denim vest. To add an element of edge I wore my black wedge booties and black-framed glasses.

The dressy outfit was inspired by one of the ensembles NeNe Leaks wore in Denim magazine. You can check out the photo here! I opted for paneled-ponte leggings rather than leather-paneled leggings as Nene wore.
