This Sunday will be my husband’s first father’s day and I think I am more excited for him then he is! On Father’s Day he will have been a dad for exactly 6 months and he’s done a fabulous job. My husband stays home with our munchkin 2x a week and he’s learned very quickly that his days off are more challenging than actually going to work.
It’s amazing to me, how in tune he is with our sons needs and how quickly he mastered the art of diaper changes –yes even the poopy ones. He’s very devoted to being a father and a provider for our family and with that I love him even more than the day I married him.
My husband isn’t a picky person which makes it incredibly easy for me to do things for him as well as buy things for him. For his first father’s day I’m thinking of a few things.
My hubby loves pancakes with a passion, so instead of getting all fancy and trying to top Aunt Jamima, I think I’ll treat him to breakfast at IHOP. I’m following the WW program so I will have to step up my self control and order a veggie omelet or something on the lower point scale.
If this isn’t the cutest thing ever! Did you know that Shea Moisture has a Men’s Shave Set? You can find this set at select Walmart’s–guess where I will be on Saturday? Oh and you can also get this set at select Target stores and Target.com.
I think he will really like this especially the facial wash because my husband often times forgets to wash his face and I’ve even caught him washing his face with bar soap. I’m very intrigued by the beard softener, wonder what difference it will make.
I remember my husband mentioning that he wanted a new watch for work. He didn’t say which brand or what type, but I figure that since his old watch was a simple black watch with plastic straps that I can find him something really decent that he will like. Any suggestions on watches?
All this talk about my husband I forgot about my dad!
