One night I was trying to reset my Chic roll, tuck, and pin style. I sprayed my hair with water to moisturize and to help make it easier to style — so I thought.
Spraying my hair was the worst decision ever! I’m sure the water would have moisturized my hair, but honestly I don’t think it was worth the frustration I went through afterwards. Allow me to explain….
My hair had been “tamed”into position from being rolled, tucked, and pinned for 2 days. So adding the water just caused my hair to expand from the water. This made it so much harder to style because my hair was much thicker then desirable for styling. What I should have done was, take out the pins, re-roll, tuck, and pin my hair into the style, and THEN spray my hair with water. At least that way my hair would have already been styled.
But noooooo I wanted to do what everyone else does and mist my hair! The water made my hair so thick it wouldn’t roll, tuck and stay pinned for nothing! I was so frustrated. I tried over and over and over. I finally gave up and decided to flat twist it for the morning and retry once it was less thick.
The next morning I managed to achieve a nice french roll in the back and learned a great lesson..
Spraying to style doesn’t work for everyone!
