This is it ladies, the challenge is over!
This week is our final week and you know what that means????
This week is length check week! Take your pics (if you can) and post them with your check in. It would be great if you could post ONE of your beginning pics and then ONE of your now pics to compare your growth/thickness. You can also post one of the beginning, one of the week 5 check in and one of now, but this is not required.
Wanna put your pics together in a collage? Go to fotoflexer.com or picmonkey.com and create a collage. Or if you have a smartphone you can use the apps picstich, pic collage, insta collage and a bunch of others.
To post a pic, click in the comment box to activate it, then look at the bottom left of the box. You will see “+image” or an image icon, click that and upload your pic. Note: You can only upload pics from a computer. If you are checking in from a mobile device, make sure to post your pics when you get to a computer.
If you have your hair in a protective style (braids, kinky twists, any other form of extensions, wigs, weaves etc.) then I understand you won’t be able to do a length check. Only members who posted a before picture and an after picture along with at least 9 weekly check ins will be in the running for the prize, $100 worth of SheaMoisture products!!!!
Ya’ll remember my focus has been on my edges because my edges were bald. To remind you, in May of 2012 my edges fell out at the hands of post-partum shedding. My son was born in Dec 2011 and my post partum started 5 months later in May 2012.
The pic on the left was during the Fall Castor Oil Challenge (5 months after my post-partum shedding began). You can see that my edges are at the middle of my forehead in October. The picture on the right was the week 5 length check for the Winter challenge in Dec 2012 (2 months after the left pic), and you can see that my edges are to my eyebrows. This looks to be about 1 inch of growth (ballpark) which is average, right?
Here are my final results of the Winter Castor Oil Challenge (Dec 2012 – March 2013). Pic on left is week 5, as shown above, and the pic on the right was the final length check, week 13. My edges grew from right above my eyebrows to down past the eyebrows 8 weeks! Woop! Woop!
Now on to this Spring Challenge Results. Pic on the left is the end of the Winter Challenge. Pic on the right is the results of this Spring Challenge. My edges grew from the middle of my eyes down past my eyes. I’d say this is pretty good growth, but not more than average. My goal for this challenge was to have my edges reach the tip of my nose and while I didn’t make that goal, I still have the next challenge to get to the tip of my nose or past!

2. Final Thoughts, comments, feedback etc.?
