Avocado oil is a rich source of Lecithin which gives it good penetrative qualities. It works better when blended with other oils like almond oil or olive oil which are also very good for hair care. The various benefits of avocado oil for hair care can be enjoyed in a number of ways.
Ways to Use Avocado Oil for Hair
You can apply some avocado oil to your favorite deep conditioner. In the video below I show how you can do a deep conditioner. You can take a good amount of the deep conditioner out of the original container and put it into a bowl. Add a tablespoon of avocado oil to the bowl and mix.
You can use avocado to pre-poo your hair. In the video below I use avocado oil and a very slip conditioner to pre-poo my natural hair. Wet your hair, add avocado oil to your hair then apply the conditioner and detangle your hair thoroughly before shampooing or cowashing your hair.
You can use avocado oil as a hot oil treatment for your hair. In the video below I show you how to do a hot oil treatment. Wet your hair with warm water. Apply lots of avocado oil to your entire head. You can put on a cap and sit under a towel or heated cap or hooded dryer for 30 minutes. Then shampoo or cowash with your favorite products.
