With spring finally here and summer steadily approaching, here are a couple of the trends that I am excited to be rocking!
I am goo-goo for stripes!! I love a simple black and white striped anything! I also love the versatility of stripes. Looking for a slimming effect? Try wearing vertical stripes! If you want to have fun while you are rocking stripes, try mixing pieces of different directional stripes. For example a horizontal striped shirt and vertical striped pants. Make sure that the pieces are in the same color family so that you won’t be looking crazy in the streets.
Omg I have been swooning over strappy sandals since the beginning of the year! There is something so classy and sophisticated about a strappy heel sandal that I cannot resist. I was lucky to snag the last pair of Prabal Gurung for Target neon strappy sandals in my size for only $27.00 last month (the original price was $40 holla!!!). Anywho, I digress…besides the fact that they are sandals, lol, strappy heel sandals are perfect for the spring/summer. They go with just about everything—dresses, skinny jeans, harem pants, pencil skirts etc. so you will definitely get your monies worth by copping a pair. If you’re looking for an inexpensive pair of strappy sandals, online stores such as Zara, Forever 21, and Steve Madden have an array of strappy sandals in stock. Visit their websites and I’m sure that you will find one that fits your liking and your budget.
Maxi Skirts and Maxi Dresses With Splits
Maxi skirts/dresses with splits rose to popularity last summer and are sure to be popular this summer as well! Maxi’s dresses and skirts subtly hug our luscious feminine curves and the peek-a-boo of the split adds another element of sexy and is also perfect for those hot summer days. I feel like my legs are one of my best features and I love showing them off. What better way than to show off my quads and calves by rocking a cute maxi skirt or dress with a split?
Peek-a-boo dresses are so perfect for the spring/summer! Similar to wearing maxi skirts/dresses with splits, peek-a-boo dresses allow you to be flirty without revealing all the goods. If you are one who likes more peak than boo, don’t worry there are many different types of peak a boo cuts that are modest. Try wearing a peek-a-boo dress with a small cut-out in the back.
